The city of Potosi, at 4300 meters in the middle of an isolated region... Why the Spaniards started a city in such a place? Because of Cerro Rico, the mountain full of silver. Silver which was all stolen and sent back to Spain, leaving behing nothing but poverty for the Bolivian people.
