Trancoso e Caraíva

We stayed some days in the village of Trancoso, between Salvador and Rio... A very nice spot, beach, palms, easy life... that,s why many foreigners are living there! Our home, thought, was the most original one (yet not the most comfortable...). A fishermen house hidden in the middle of a manglar, surrounded by small water streams; behind the beach where all tourists went. Just crabs, ants and some rats as house-mates. Heavy rain with candles every day, a kitchen from the I World War above to explode, rain shower, crabs under the tent, tomato rice, tomato pasta, crazy friends... That was Trancoso!

And we visited as well the village of Caraíva, even more isolated, after hours through a dirty road, but yet really beautiul and calm... Low season! We survived a crazy drive and to die of thirst in the isolated beach, and we met the Pataxó village, one of the indigenous tribes who survived the colonization.

And after, Rio wait for us!!
